The Last Sanctuary of the Living: Book One – The Deal Zombie Chronicles

When the world drowned in blood and silence, the coast became a fortress. Sydney Carter never asked to lead. But in the shattered remnants of Deal and Walmer, leadership is the difference between hope and extinction. As the undead choke the countryside and new human predators rise from the ruins, Sydney must rally survivors who’ve already lost everything — and face the ruthless tyrant holding Dover Castle. From the salt-bitten cliffs to tunnels soaked in ash and gunfire, The Last Sanctuary of the Living follows the fight to reclaim a fragment of humanity in a world gone feral. Bonds will break, kingdoms will burn, and the living will prove every bit as dangerous as the dead. Gritty, visceral, and deeply human, this is the first chapter of The Deal Zombie Chronicles — where survival isn’t victory, it’s the beginning of the reckoning. https://paxjones.com/featured/stuart-smith-the-last-sanctuary-of-the-living-zombie/ book 1 of a 3 part series (book 3 launches in September).

Die, Blossom, Bloom by Steve Boseley

“ Even though the story starts with a killing, its true meaning only gradually appears in a masterful narration that soon turns surprisingly dark. Too dark, perhaps, for some readers, as this is not a novella for the squeamish. The pace picks up and soon readers find themselves in the uncomfortable position of rooting not for the "good" guys but for the murderer. ” – N.R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⁣ 5 stars “Ted finds himself deeply suffering after the loss of his wife. I must say I felt quite sorry for him. Boseley has got in some quite touching details. But this is a horror story, so be prepared .” – Raymond Mathiesen “ A gripping look at the flowery passions and life in an idyllic English village that seems like it's straight out of Midsomer Murders. When I read the first few chapters, I had to look up Boseley - and specifically his age, as his portrayal of the elderly hero's daily struggles were so convincing that I felt certain Boseley himself would be in his 70s, or even older. Eve...

Just days in, the young priest gets involved in protecting the mysterious & beautiful Angelica from evil elements of the Vatican hierarchy working in tandem with Italian mafioso. What follows is so edge-of-your-seat exciting. Kleanthous is a marvelous writer. Her storytelling will take your breath away. Apparently, she has a film background; it shows in how she sets up scenes. Just a suggestion: fix a big bowl of buttery popcorn before settling in to read THE PRIEST OF SANTA MARIA.” — George Fleming (Author of Bad Habits & Don Coyote)   “ A thoroughly interesting and entertaining novel. Being Italian I was easily able to picture in my mind the scenery so excellently and accurately described. In fact, the author has done such a great job at capturing the roots of my ancestors that I felt a genuine desire and wi...
